Enhancing collaboration with a structured forum for developers and customers.

Context

This case study explores the design of a discussion forum for Clusterix, aimed at improving communication between developers, internal teams, and customers. The goal was to create an intuitive platform with discussion filtering, task management, and engagement features to streamline collaboration.

Challenge


The challenge was to design a Developer & Customer Forum for Clusterix that fosters seamless collaboration between developers, internal teams, and customers. The platform needed to support structured discussions, task management, and quick access to relevant design files, all while ensuring a clean and intuitive user experience.

Process


  1. Understanding user needs – Researched forum structures and user behaviors to identify key pain points in developer-customer communication.

  2. Wireframing & Information Architecture – Created a structured forum layout with sidebar navigation, app-specific discussions, and an internal/external toggle.

  3. High-Fidelity Prototyping – Designed an interactive prototype in Figma, incorporating pinned Figma designs, task assignment flows, and discussion engagement features.


  4. Iterative improvements – Focused on visual simplicity, accessibility, and user-friendly navigation to align with Innoscripta’s design principles.

Solution


The final design provided an intuitive, well-structured forum that enhanced communication and collaboration by:

  • Organizing discussions with sidebar filtering and app-specific threads.

  • Enabling quick access to Figma designs through pinned resources.

  • Improving task management with an integrated assignment and tracking system.

  • Supporting user engagement with upvotes, comments, and messaging features.
